Some more stuff

Plein air landscapes.

Architectural watercolor.

Figure studies in watercolor.

Link
Pencil study for a master copy.

Some life drawings in crayon.

Some stuff

My roommates and I. Charcoal/gouache painting.

Bob, our sometimes model. Charcoal painting.

My roommate, Edward, sitting on our old couch, surrounded by umbrellas. Pencil work. Camera got mad about it, updating a better version soon.

A bunch of colored observation drawings. I turned this in for a project, but it's something I would consider for fun or practice.

Some drawings I made on paper placemats last night, making them most recent. We went out to a Vietnamese restaurant to celebrate a friend's final recital, and eight or nine people showed up and got all cozy at the same table. Excellent creative fodder, but tragically the placemats are flimsy and don't like to be scanned. That will teach me to bring my sketchbook next time.

Just for fun, here's a drawing of some of Pokemon I made a couple of months ago.

Next post: some watercolors and even more drawings.

the monthly update played hooky from school...

Hi! I was busy being bad at stuff. Look at this while I try to think of something.

I actually don't know what there is to tell of our time separated, readers. How long has it been? october? now it's december? One to two months down the drain. Pwip. That's the sound months make going down the drain.

November was kind of a bleak month for me. I chalk it up to the sun being scarce and school becoming a hassle. (School's actually going really well now that we're in December, or it'll go well until around the 20th and then if I don't meet all the deadlines I will literally commit seppuku). Things simultaneously got worse and better during my Thanksgiving break, in that order, so with luck the "better" trend will continue.

I came up with an ingenious christmas/chanukkah/winter birthday present idea, which I won't talk about here yet. Some of you have already gotten one. Don't spoil it!

If you don't live nearby and you really really want one just email me and you will get a surprise while we are still having cold weather and if I have enough money to ship the darn thing.

Anyway I can't think of things to write! Here are some drawings! I will input text re: drawings very easily. And they are Life Related.

Here is a friend of mine! He works at a gym and I asked him to play PT for me. Thankfully he didn't seem unhappy to do it, and we exercised a couple days last week. I got EXTREMELY RESULTS from competitive motivations, like I need to lift as heavy as I can manage because someone else is watching me.

PT guy, as well as that guy's head in the first drawing of this post, are in my DnD group. I'm pretty thankful that I can find a game in the damn area. I drew both of these pictures during the game this past Wednesday.

The story behind this caricature is that PT guy cannot stop thinking about vaginas. I think we would all get ahead in life if we just paused, took a deep breath, and stopped thinking about vaginas. And by "we" I mean "PT guy". I'm pretty sure he has even thought about my vagina. What an exquisitely terrible thought!!!

Here is a person from the future. She reminds me a little of Aeon Flux, except that in the Callie future, everyone is naked and female, and no one is white.

You are all goofy and anatomically incorrect here, you orange, orange ho.

Here is Orange Ho's Pink Asian Slut. I guess they are gay together, but I hadn't really thought about it.

ya dude i am real good at backgrounds. Speaking of which:

It is high time I actually drew some backgrounds so I did a little practice. These doodles were all on one piece of paper and I didn't feel like separating them. They're not supposed to be a cohesive story, but I guess you could try to be creative and link them somehow.

Anyway...they're all really simple. By simple I actually mean "pitiful effort of white woman."

I cannot conceive of a weather that is above 45 degrees right now.

Theesh...are....charactersh....from...my....schtory....snort....gag....hehehe....blehhh. The scanner was not kind to the dark-skinned man. I will have to draw him again.

So...you know...that guy Nico made some emo chicks, Scarfy and Scribble. They actually came about from this little bi-weekly drawing challenge (we did it twice lolll~) where we had to draw emos. I had mine drawn but I was like, "Man, Nico's are cooler". I wasn't shamed as it were, but I think they should get more attention than THESE TWO LOSERS:

Never in my life have I so not wanted to do linework, so I just used the sketch and colored it. These two gals are Fatty and Paris. Oh jesus, I forgot to color in Paris' hamburger. That's hilarious. I'll do it later.

Anyway, Fatty is fat and Paris kinda looks like another woman by that name and she likes cheeseburgers from McDonald's ... ironically. Fatty's only redeeming characteristic is probably her bust. I don't even know about Paris. I kinda hate and like both of them at the same time. I'll draw more of them I guess!

Anyway, aforementioned Nico, here is a gift.

It's Scribble snarling! With an adorable cat! IN A KIND OF RETRO, POPULAR COLOR THING, OH THE SCENE IS KILLING ME HERE.

So there's an update! Wahoo! It was large. I hope it made up for the months I missed.

oh boy how about that monthly update

Sorry, I'm too busy working myself into a major depressive state!

Let this be a lesson to you kidz that you shouldn't listen to your parents or teachers or anyone when they tell you "choose a more reasonable job and work towards it!" or else you might end up like me--in stasis for two years trying to get towards your calling of choice. I am literally so stupid.

Now I'm working hard to rectify that stupid "I need to do something reasonable, like become a librarian or an architect or a housewife" mantra that's been stuck in my head. Taking the SATs in 8 days, trying to get all As in my classes (my community college classes aaaa ggrhghh aaaaahhh im in community college it's great) and trying to be down-to-earth rather than crying and wiggling helplessly as I might be wont to do has left me with not that much time for drawing. But! I have been writing letters and I draw quite a lot in them. Here is one such picture where you can tell I haven't had too much time to HONE MY SKILLZ.

This picture was more or less made with a pencil and a cup of coffee, plus or minus some other kitchen ingredients and a magic marker. A person with no job cannot buy esspensive paints.

I have also been drawing in class like a bad girl. Math class of all places. Unforgivable.

My sister's birthday was also recent so I made her this terrible card design and then printed/mounted it on white card stock. It looked pretty rad. They are rats with party hats. We had pet rats growing up and the only thing we have in common is that we think rats are cute.

My mom really likes these cards I make for some reason. They kind of look a little too much like a five year old made them. But maybe that's part of the appeal!

Here is an emo guy from one such card. I think he appropriately captures the mood of this post. He is also my twitter background.

I got opencanvas a couple months ago and here is something I drew in it. There was more but it got nerfed by a bad save or something. I like the frontal view but not the quasi 3/4ths one. It's some OC I was trying to redesign from when I was 12.

Here are some fish. They are special because they were part of a scrapped blomic page that I didn't include in one update because it sucked. (It had a shark with my hair representing me biting into a fat woman with purple hair who represented my ((one of many)) artistic rival. That is why I didn't include it. Sometimes it is just a little too ridiculous.)

Anyway consider this a September update and hopefully I can draw up an October one proper!

SIGH

I am not having a great month, but I think I'm getting back on track!

Here are some things!

Man I gotta expend more energy on backgrounds and things--but I really wanted to show off some doodles. They're from an idea I had about a comic or cartoon (doesn't matter which to me),

It's about a farting ghost. The title of the comi/toon is tentatively called "Fartgeist".

The farting ghost follows this schmuck around (no name). This orthodontically challenged individual is in some kind of lower education like elementary school or high school, and wants to be socially savvy. Not only is he extremely shy, he has a farting ghost who follows him and ruins everything when he's just about to make progress.

His only friend is a fat kid who acts and looks like a bird. He is somewhat 'spergin. (both people are the same kid--I was just playing around with how I wanna draw him)

It sounds really ridiculous, but it has high funny potential in my mind. The mental image of the ghost just showing up, face frozen in the same terrible expression, and just farting without warning (the farts would be neon and highly visible) at the worst times seems amazing to me.

Here he is harassing some afro kid (from a pchat with me and Patu. yes i hang with the cool kids what of it)

----

Nico and I drew some gurls.

Actually, most of the girls I drew were from The Wire--I was watching it with my friend when I drew these.

The man in the middle is not a girl, it's Matt making faces at me.

McNolty's "mistress". She got an apple head and is strangely pretty.

Nico drew this awesome retro chick so I FELT I ALSO HAD TO DRAW ONE. nico dis hotty 4 u~

This is um....gah...what's her name. I used a photo from here for reference. She is creepy and yet pretty.
